October: GLBT History Month

 

Every October is observed as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) History Month. This is a time for us to remember those pioneers of our past who've helped to bring us where we, as a community, are today. A time for us to recall where we were in order to determine where we go from here.

 

I offer the photo of a classic couple from the past in honor of gay history and nudist history. Judging from the hairstyle, this one is probably from the early-to-mid 1960s. There is no further information available on the subjects or the location.

I Support President Obama!

I'm voting to re-elect our current leader, President Barack Hussein Obama, to a second term in November. I voted for him in 2008 and would do so again in 2016, if it were legally possible. What initially made me support him in 2007, ahead of his official nomination by the Democratic Party, was the fact that he was new, fresh and untainted by the Washington, DC, political environment. The same holds true today.

As our Chief Executive, President Obama has made some decisions that are unpopular with a significant number of Americans. But, the choices that he made were the right ones, made in the interests of equality and fairness. Two examples of these directly impacted our gay community: the end of Don't Ask, Don't Tell (DOMA) and his evolution and finally, his support, of full marriage equality for all. These issues didn't endear him to many; some viewed his support as political suicide. He stood his ground and followed his heart, mind and soul and not some political strategists. I, for one, admire and appreciate his courage.

In 2008, as the Democratic presidential candidate, he promised to reform our health care system. He was elected and suddenly everyone reacted as though he'd just landed here from the planet Mars. "He's going to do what to healthcare?" Hello! Did anyone even listen to what he and his campaign promised to deliver? Despite all the uproar his opponents created, all the falsehoods they circulated, he remained steadfast and kept his promise to the American people. He delivered.

For the past four years, President Obama has demonstrated time and time again that he is a man of honor and integrity. He has tried to keep every promise that he made in 2008. Even when under intense fire from the gay community as he "evolved" towards endorsing marriage equality, he didn't fold under pressure. He didn't lie. He was honest. These are qualities not common in both politics and politicians nowadays.

I am proud to once again support the best candidate: President Barack Hussein Obama!

One Final Stroke For Summer!

 

 

It's early enough in the autumn season for one last dip into the pool in order to handle one more session of aqua-play! I probably don't need to add that my partner and I swim nude at every available opportunity. Personally, I really enjoy having a good loving intimate workout in the water with my boyfriend.  We've gotten our moves down to a fine science where it's both comfortable and pleasing for the both of us. In order to spice it up and keep it interesting, we each always dive in with a special surprise for the other! Who says practice doesn't make perfect?

 

So that you don't get the wrong idea, we live in an apartment complex that does have a pool. That, however, is for all the residents; it's not for our exclusive use. Our poolside love-making takes place in the backyard pool of a couple we know. We stayed overnight with them four, maybe five, Saturdays this past summer and took advantage of romance around midnight whenever possible.

 

Our aquatic exercises began  innocently as mutual masturbation. Those sessions were satisfying but then, around the July 4th holiday, we decided to take business to the next level. Our first time was somewhat awkward. Summer Sunset, 2012

 

 

Summer, 2012, ended officially this past Saturday, September 22, at 10:49 a.m. For me, it was a great one but it passed all too soon. This was the first summer season posting here at Black Lover Naked II, so that was both a challenge and a joy. I really hope that this blog brought to all of you, the readers, at least a few moments of delight and pleasure. It was an enjoyable task for me trying to organize interesting photographs, thoughts and topics.  

 

I've written here many times that summertime is my favorite season of the year. I'm sad to see it depart but, at the same time, I'm looking forward to the arrival of another one next year. I try to keep this focus so that I'll remain positive through the winter months ahead.
