It's been awhile but I'm back. I had a hectic workload and simply haven't had the chance to devote to this blog. Hopefully, all that is past, at least, for now. 

Medical Hiatus

I shared with you two months ago about about minor surgery I endured. The week before the Memorial Day holiday, while en route to a follow-up medical appointment, my car was rear ended by someone "texting-while-driving." My injuries are extensive but not life-threatening. 

I hope to resume publishing here after the Columbus Day weekend (October).

A couple of months ago, I brought to your attention the excellent graphics of a fellow blogger and extraordinary artist, Choklit Daddy at Choklit Daddy's Sketchbook. He's my favorite in his artistic genre and I feel that I would be remiss if I didn't offer you, my friends here at Black Lover Naked II, another reminder as to his work. Yes, he does use artistic license with his work, such as in the super-sexy exaggerated nipples and cock above. But, that, at least to me, is what makes his art so appealing. The ability to take the ordinary in our lives and transform it into what we all know we desire, dream and fantasize. It's what we know about ourselves, our passion for the beauty and bounty of the black male. This is, after all, Black Lover Naked II, a blog for those, no matter race or ethnicity, who are appreciative of and attracted to the physical wonders of black men, regardless of their skin tone.

Summer Sunset, 2012

 

 

Summer, 2012, ended officially this past Saturday, September 22, at 10:49 a.m. For me, it was a great one but it passed all too soon. This was the first summer season posting here at Black Lover Naked II, so that was both a challenge and a joy. I really hope that this blog brought to all of you, the readers, at least a few moments of delight and pleasure. It was an enjoyable task for me trying to organize interesting photographs, thoughts and topics.  

 

I've written here many times that summertime is my favorite season of the year. I'm sad to see it depart but, at the same time, I'm looking forward to the arrival of another one next year. I try to keep this focus so that I'll remain positive through the winter months ahead.

Reflection: Six Months Plus...

It's hard for me to believe, but I've been blogging for just a little over six months here. At times, it's seemed like it was only yesterday that I started. Other moments, it feels like years. Regardless, it's been a growth experience for me as well as a challenge. I have no regrets in undertaking this project. Overall, it has been interesting.

This blog, Black Lover Naked II, like practically every other blog, is a work-in-progress. Just like President Obama on the issue of gay marriage, it evolves over time. One aspect remains the same. It does represent my admiration, appreciation and love of black men, regardless of age, size, skin color, height or ability. There are some things in life that simply don't change.

In the brief six months of this blog, I've been amazed at the number of pageviews that it's received. Almost 1,700 total. That number is small in comparison to other blogs. That doesn't matter to me. I think it shows that there is an audience out there in cyberspace that relates to what I'm trying to do here. Somehow, what's happening here at least a few other men can relate.

One of the personal pleasures that I derive from writing Black Lover Naked II is selecting the photographs to feature. I have collected quite a number of pictures of attractive black men over the past several years. I enjoy looking over them and deciding which ones to include with the different texts. As I go through them, sometimes an idea comes to my mind for another subject to post here.

I invite all of you to take advantage of the comments feature. Please share your thoughts and opinions on what's been offered here currently and what you'd like to see in the future. I also want to thank all of you for visiting here.

This is a new feature that I'm beginning today for Black Lover Naked II. A gallery of some truly fine-looking men, nude, and with obvious generous physical attributes. A gallery post (blog entry) will contain more photographic images than text. It is a visual feast as opposed to a literary one.

The gallery entries will not replace the written articles. There will still be plenty of those. It is just a way to add some spice and variety (as well as eye candy) to my blog. My ultimate aim is to continue to please you, the reader.

The initial gallery focuses on thick men: the beefy ebony samples of masculinity. Some other themes that I'm considering are hairy men, large cocks, juicy asses, nipples, etc. If there's any particular manly feature that you'd like to see, send me an email or post a comment here.

My Vision For This Blog: Black Lover Naked II

Now that I've published several posts here, I'm getting a clearer picture of what I'd like this blog to be. As I shared with you in my initial article, this blogsite is about publicly expressing my concerns, desires, dreams, experiences, fears, fetishes, ideas, memories, motives, opportunities, passions and possibilities. In doing this, I am opening my soul to all of you, the readers. My hope is that you will do the same through utilizing either the comment feature located at the end of each entry or the email option. My blog email address is located with the "Take Naked Pictures" icon located on the right column on your screen. For your convenience, it is:  blklvrnkd@gmail.com My goal is not to judge but to make this publication an interactive vehicle for us all. I value any and all feedback, opinions and suggestions. Excerpts from emails may be published in part here; however, the names, addresses  and identities of the authors will always be confidential.

In my lifetime, I've encountered a number of men who have feelings, desires and appreciations that are similar, if not identical, to my own. My plans are to offer these to you, the readers, not as a means of making converts but as a way to demonstrate the wide range of tastes and preferences within our same gender loving community. My wish is that others open themselves to new possibilities and explore options available to them. None of us, as gay men, need to restrict ourselves to one particular classification, identity or label. There's a world of possibilities waiting for us all.

Ideally, this blog will help to build bridges between black men and white men, directly. For far too long, our same gender loving community has been artificially separated along ethnic and racial lines. This division often was unintentional; but, unfortunately, it existed. At times, this polarization was intentional and done with malice and with disregard towards the offended and victimized group. Those days and practices have harmed our community and our equal rights movement; now is the time to heal, come together, resolve our differences and move forward. In order for this to happen, all of us need to acknowledge and understand these past divisions and exclusions. Ignorance isn't bliss, contrary to popular folklore. As a culture, we have enough enemies fighting against us and our equality; it's now time for us to unite.

I envision this space to serve as an educational vehicle for the same gender loving naturist/nudist culture. Too often, we are a misunderstood and ignored component of our broader GLBT community. I see this web-blog and the contents here as a tool for outreach and information about us and our lives that perhaps we may enlighten others as to what we're about. I'm not asking everyone to like us and to join our ranks. All that I seek here is respect and understanding. As stated in the paragraph above, again it is time for us to heal differences and to correct misinformation. Now is the moment in our same gender loving collective history to unify and forge our collective future.

Sex, Too

Perhaps this topic should have been mentioned somewhere in my initial entry. Yes, I will publish both photographs and narratives dealing with sex, sexual activities and positions. I apologize for the omission; it wasn't intentional. Surprisingly, I didn't incorrectly assume it was understood. I just overlooked this piece of information until after I had posted last Friday's entry.

I'm not trying to compete with all the pornographic blogs and websites online. I will candidly discuss these subjects and offer illustrations to demonstrate my meaning. I will be healthy, honest and open about sex/sexuality and any related topic. However, I'm not exclusively about sex and won't attempt to pretend otherwise. I do maintain that sex is good and does provide pleasure, as long as it's consensual, legal and respectful. I'm also an advocate, educator and practitioner of the safer sex guidelines of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Unlike many in our society, I'm not shy in talking about men having sex with men. I am a sexual being; enjoying physical intimacy and exchanging pleasure with my own gender is what I do. I feel no regret nor shame in being the man that I am. It's not all that I'm about; however, it is a part of me that I don't and won't deny. It's as much a part of me as are my blue eyes, right-handedness and my shaved head. Far too many are in permanent denial surrounding this subject for me to ignore it and play that silly game.  

Yes, I will offer entries featuring sexually explicit experiences, fantasies, information and thoughts. I'll likewise compose articles on friendships, hobbies, photography and sports. The potential range of topics are as numerous as the stars in the sky; sex is but one component. But it is a subject that won't be danced around as though it doesn't exist.

Follow And Honor Your Heart

The first post here and what should I do? Introduce myself? Define this blogsite? Write about why I'm doing this? Discuss my life experiences and the reason for a Caucasian same gender loving man to have a life-long admiration, adoration, appreciation and infatuation with African, African-American and Black men? As you can see, the choices are endless.  

In the interests of brevity, I think it's best to follow the wisdom of our collective past, regardless of racial heritage: KISS: Keep It Simple, Stupid. After all, the title, description and the above paragraph contain all the basic information necessary at this time. I'm a white man who prefers the company of and intimacy with black men. It's a preference and not an exclusion. I am a friend and lover of all men. Given a choice, more than likely my inclination is to associate myself with a black man over all others. I'm being honest and real.

Two other insights into who I am. I'm in my early 40s in age and I'm a practicing social nudist. Let's leave it at that for this moment. There's ample opportunity to share more as this journal of personal concerns, desires, dreams, experiences, fears, fetishes, ideas, memories, motives, opportunities, passions and possibilities unfold. Face it, that's one of the primary reasons for publishing a blog: sharing.
