Get Naked But Don't...

Now that we're into the autumn season, many local gay nudist groups host social functions for men who are curious about or interested in exploring the world of gay social nudity. These are usually, but not always, during this time of year as we transition from the hectic pace of summer to the chilling days of the Fall. A perfect opportunity to encourage those men who contemplated nudism during the beach season but didn't exactly know how to try it.

It's a natural reflex for men, once naked in a crowd of others, to reach down to cover their genitals. As a matter of fact, it's a human trait as women do the same to their breasts. I guess it's an effort to conceal the "dangling" body parts. A product of puritanical upbringing and being taught body shame. There is nothing disgusting or ugly about the human body, including those that distinguish our respective genders. A penis (cock) and scrotum (balls) are just as attractive as a six-pack abdomen.

Anyone trying out nudism needs to remember that this innocent gesture immediately makes you the center of attention in a nude setting. Other nude men are letting themselves "hang loose nude" and, more than likely, you are the only one attempting to hide your balls and cock. Nothing will make you stand out in this crowd any faster than this pose. Those experimenting with being naked socially usually don't want this type of notoriety.  Most are a little nervous as it is.

Instead, strike a stance of confidence with your arms and hands by your side or behind your back. It may feel awkward initially; you might have to consciously fight the urge to cover yourself. But it does help you to blend in with the crowd, interact with others and begin to relax. Actually, posing with your limbs by your side or at your back is sending a positive signal through body language that encourages other men to approach you.

That's the reason that you're attending the social to begin with. To meet nudist friends, talk with them about the life as well as make some great new, nude buddies. Be proud of yourself, the man that you are and your manly body! There's no need whatsoever to conceal those masculine jewels!
